International Development Consultants Ltd. (IDC) is a consultancy firm which specializes in providing services related to public policy, management, economic analysis, financial analysis, audits, and agricultural projects. IDC headquarters is in Kampala, Uganda. IDC is closely affiliated with African Development and Economic Consultants (ADEC) based in Nairobi, Kenya, Wanjohi Consulting Engineers (WCE) based in Nairobi, Kenya and International Finance and Advisory Services Ltd. (INTERFINAS) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The objectives of IDC is to provide high-calibre consultancy services through integration of all high-quality professional consultants to Government, parastatals and private entrepreneurs under one umbrella organization. This has the obvious advantage of giving all studies and other work by IDC, or undertaken under its auspices, responsibility and expertise from an integrated, multi-disciplinary consortium as one organization. IDC capable of handling all types of consulting work, and will accept to undertake any Project in any country, with the COMESA as an area of concentration. IDC has full-time staff and other staff on retention who are available for short-term consultancies. A directory of consultants has reached over 300. Most of these are from the EAC/COMESA/SADC. The Capability of the firm is supplemented by a number of associated firms (over 50) and individuals in Africa, Europe, North America, and Australia in virtually all professional disciplines. .
